A Little about me
Patrick Meyer Ph.D.,
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who specializes in working with individuals and couples presenting with a variety of problems and issues, including relationship issues, depression, anxiety, trauma, sexual abuse, stress management and grief and loss. I have worked in a variety of settings including college counseling centers, community group practice, a local prison and the VA. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches to inform the work I do with clients and tailor my approach to each client depending on their unique needs and concerns. Specifically when working with individuals I typically incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Interpersonal Process Therapy (IPT) and often blend these approaches together depending on the client and their needs. When working with couples I typically incorporate Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Communication Skills Training and PAIRS concepts to address common relationship issues between couples.
